Bunnies, bunnies every where
You guessed it…today we added ten rabbits to our crazy cast of characters. All of them up for adoption to the right home.
Here is the deal.
Earlier this month, the Best Friends Animal Society rescued 1400 rabbits out of a bad overpopulation situation in Reno, Nevada. Staff and many volunteers worked tirelessly to put up enclosures for the bunnies and make sure they were fed and given the best medical care.
Each and every one of the rabbits had been spayed and neutered. Many veterinarians and vet techs volunteered their time and expertise to getting the job done.
Now that the spay and neutering is almost completed, the next goal is to get the rescued bunnies permanent homes. This is where we came in.
I heard about the rescue, contacted folks at Best Friends and a few weeks later ten of the cutest, fat bunnies you have ever seen arrived at BWI. Each bunny had its own individual cage, grass mat, fresh water and carrots soaked in electrolites. That’s right, electrolites.
They are adorable and up for adoption (with the exception of “Oreo” who is my god daughter’s) to the right home. If you are interested or know of someone who would like a bunny, please email me. I will even throw in the first bag of pellets. Vive la lapin!
